Dr. Michael Goddard provides expert foot and ankle care for Artisan Foot and Ankle Specialists. He has been in private practice for over 20 years and prides himself on making the extra effort to develop a strong doctor-patient relationship.
Dr. Goddard received his undergraduate degree from California State University, Long Beach and his medical degree from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Ohio. He went on to complete his residency training in Downtown Los Angeles focusing on reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle. After completion of his residency, Dr. Goddard received advanced surgical training in nerve decompression and microscope surgery of peripheral nerves at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Dr. Goddard is skilled in Lapiplasty, a revolutionary 3-dimensional bunion correction. In addition to Lapiplasty, he also specializes in minimally invasive surgery, arthroscopy, nerve decompression/repair, and sports medicine.
Dr Goddard lives in South Orange County with his wife and children and spends most of his free time enjoying the outdoors with family and friends. He enjoys mountain biking, swimming, skiing, hiking, woodworking, and church/volunteer work.

Community Involvement
He was intricately involved in the Baja Project for Crippled Children, a medical and surgical mission that served underprivileged children and young adults in Mexico, Honduras, and El Salvador. To this day, he continues to devote two weeks a year to care for underprivileged children in Honduras through the organization Operation Footprint.
